STONINGTON, MAINE, June 12, 2019—Maine Center for Coastal Fisheries (MCCF), a nonprofit located on the Stonington working waterfront, is pleased to announce the return of Tall Tales, Fish Tails, & Damn Lies, an evening of music and words from a fishing community. The event, scheduled for Thursday, June 27 will take place at the Opera House Arts in Stonington. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the show begins at 6:30 pm.

The event, in its second year, will bring together local fishermen who will engage in storytelling, sea-shanty’s, and musical performances. The line-up of performers includes Frank Gotwals, Church of the Morning After, Bob Quinn, and many more.

Paul Anderson, MCCF’s Executive Director, says, “Storytelling and music are great ways to connect people. The Center embraces the arts along with the sciences as we pursue our mission to help sustain our precious fishing communities.”

Tickets can be purchased online at talltalesfishtails.eventbrite.com. Tickets are for general admission and cost $20 in advance and $25 at the door and can also be purchased at the MCCF office located at 13 Atlantic Ave, Stonington. All proceeds will go directly to MCCF.
