Winter Harbor Races
and Festival Draw Crowds

The Winter Harbor lobster boat races had perfect weather and a near flawless race schedule. Other than a half hour delayed start, on time by most standards, there were few delays or false starts. The event drew a lot of boats, prizes and spectators. It was the 51st year for lobster boat races at Winter Harbor.

The town features a Lobster Festival that coincides with the races. The town center was crowded with concessionaires selling everything from crafts to cheeseburgers and, of course, live lobster.
