Agricultural Tour - April 14th

Come learn about the diversity of agriculture in Franklin County!
Saturday, April 14th from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. we will be touring a vast and diverse group of farms and agricultural businesses in the Farmington, New Sharon areas.
Itinerary:
8-8:30 a.m. - Meet and register at the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Rt. 4 in Farmington and board bus.
Stops will include: unique dairy processing facility at Sandy River Farms; York Hill Farm in New Sharon - which is a dairy goat and cheese processing farm; Hardy Farms - award winning dairy farm with a maple operation; Marble Family Farms - produce delicious baked goods and products in their commercial kitchen; and Robin's Flower Pot - home to 7 greenhouses. Among other things, Robin has annuals, perennials, trees & shrubs and accessories.
Lunch will be provided during a stop at the West Farmington Grange. A selection of build your own sandwiches, salad assortments, desserts and drinks will be available and we'll have the opportunity to tour the renovations to the grange to assist farmers with storage and processing capabilities.
