CORRECTION

In an article on “Maine’s Bald Eagles” in the June 2018 Fishermen’s Voice should have noted that a 2013 aerial survey had the Maine eagle nest count to be 634. Additionally, a reader from Mount Desert Island, who said he has observed and photographed eagles and osprey in Maine for 40 years, referred to Inland Fisheries and Wildlife biologist Charlie Todd, who believes there may be an additional 213 eagle nests in Maine. Todd was said to have been instrumental in the bald eagle recovery efforts in Maine.
