Six Local High Schools’
Final Presentation of their
Green Crab Projects
Students from the Eastern Maine Skippers Program will be presenting their final findings of this year’s collaborative green crab project to the public.
Participating schools include North Haven, Vinalhaven, Deer-Isle Stonington, Narraguagus and Jonesport-Beals High Schools as well as George Stevens Academy.
The Eastern Maine Skippers Program students’ Final Presentations will be Thursday, May 28th at 5pm at The Grand Auditorium in Ellsworth, Maine. Parking located on Main Street and the Ellsworth City Hall lot.
The EMSP students will be judged by professionals in the fields pertaining to the range of student’s projects including: Department of Marine Resources Commissioner Patrick Keliher; Mark King of Maine’s Department of Environmental Protection; Water Quality and Intertidal Scientist Darcie Couture; Professor Chris Peterson from College of the Atlantic; Curtis Haycock- Milbridge Fisherman; Rebecca Emerson Assistant Vice President of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust.
