Gloucester lobster dealer Leo LaRosa of Rose Seafoods has written about improved lobster handling as a means of raising boat price. His comments are based on the research of marine biologist and lobster researcher David Basti at the University of Maine in Orono.

Basti’s 14 page document titled “Post-Capture handling of American Lobster” is a scientific paper. Make coffee, it’s not easy reading, its long and filled with confusing graphs.
