NIOSH Commercial Fishing Fatalities Report

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the federal government agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related injury and illness. In 2010, NIOSH published an in-depth study of commercial fishing fatalities due to traumatic injury that occurred in the United States during 2000–2009. NIOSH recently completed a five-year update (2010–2014) to the previous study.
