Early Detection the Focus of Upcoming Chefs’ Gala

On Saturday, April 7, Camden National Bank will sponsor Spring is in the Air, the 19th Annual Chefs’ Gala, from 5:30 - 11:00 p.m. at the Ramada in Ellsworth.

Chris Facchini and Audry Amann from WLBZ News Center 2 will host the event, which benefits Maine Coast Memorial Hospital’s Breast Clinic. Funds raised through the Chefs’ Gala allow the Breast Clinic to purchase new equipment and support the mammogram scholarship program, which helps defray the cost of mammograms for those patients who need financial assistance.
American Cancer Society studies have shown that using mammography to detect early signs of breast cancer saves lives and increases treatment options.

Guests will enjoy delicious food prepared by local chefs along with dancing to the sounds of the Tony Boffa Band. Tickets are $95 per person ($57 tax deductible) with table seatings of eight and 10.

Patron support and overnight accommodations are also available by calling 664-5548, or online at www.mainehospital.org
