You don’t have to wait for the farmers’ market to reopen to buy your favorite local foods.

Attend a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Fair in your community and learn about CSAs, become acquainted with local seasonal foods, buy a share in a farm’s weekly harvest, and discover how you can grow a relationship with a Maine farm. Community Supported Fisheries will also be represented in some locations.

Sunday, February 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the following locations: Belfast: Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast, 37 Miller St.; Brunswick: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 27 Pleasant St.; Canaan: Union Church, Rt.2.; Ellsworth, Uni- tarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth, 121 Bucksport Rd.; Farmington, Fairbanks School Meeting House, 508 Fairbanks Rd.; Hallowell, St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 18 Union St.; Newcastle, Second Congregational Church, River Rd.; Norway, Christ Episcopal Church and St. Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church, Paris St.; Orono, Orono Senior Center, Birch St.; Portland, First Parish Church of Portland, 425 Congress St.; and Saco, First Parish Church of Saco (UCC), 12 Beach St.

The event is co-sponsored by the Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association (MOFGA), the Maine Council of Churches, and Slow Food Portland, with additional support from local organizations at each site.

Admission to this event is free for farms and the public. Farmers will bring products from the farm to sell in addition to their CSA shares. Light refreshments featuring local seasonal foods will be served.
